What to Expect
We believe movement through nature should feel supported, calm, and intentional.
Gear and prep guide
Meet the technology before you hit the trail.
Get familiar with the exoskeleton, what to wear, what to bring, and the fit details that help your Exo-Hike feel comfortable from the first step.
Closed-toe trail shoes
Choose hiking shoes or athletic shoes with grip. Sandals, heels, and loose slip-ons are not a good fit for trail surfaces or gear setup.
Pants or leggings
Wear comfortable pants or leggings that cover the knees. Smooth, flexible fabric works best under the thigh cuffs.
Light layers
Colorado weather can shift quickly. Bring a light jacket or fleece and avoid bulky layers around the waist where the gear fits.
Pack for comfort, not bulk.
Check items off as you prepare. Keep your pack light so nothing interferes with the exoskeleton fit or your movement.
Skip anything that gets in the way.
- Bulky waist packs or oversized backpacks.
- Loose dangling straps, chains, or accessories.
- Footwear without traction or secure heel support.
- Heavy items you do not need for a short guided hike.

Confirm your fit range.
For the best experience, review your measurements before your Exo-Hike. The key areas are waist circumference, hip width, and thigh length.
- Measure with a flexible tape measure when possible.
- Wear normal fitted clothing while measuring.
- If you are near the upper or lower limit, contact Exo-Hike before booking.
- The exoskeleton is recreational support, not a medical device.
A New Way to Explore
Colorado is beautiful—but high-altitude trails and steep sections can be tiring. Exoskeleton-assisted hiking adds extra support on climbs and longer stretches so you can stay more comfortable, feel steadier, and focus on the scenery instead of the strain.
The Gear
Our exoskeletons are designed to:
• Share some of the effort with your legs
Offer gentle support on inclines and longer sections
• Add a sense of stability on uneven ground
• Help you feel more comfortable over the course of the hike
• Move naturally with your stride once they’re fitted
They’re simple, intuitive, and surprisingly easy to forget about—you’ll mostly just notice that the hike feels more supported.
